Good Looking Functional Unit, Poor Interior Layout

The exterior of the unit is well designed, like the double doors on top and the freezer drawer design below. Even good with the interior ice maker as we did not want ice through the door. However, the interior design of the drawers in the fridge does not make 100% sense. The crisper drawers on the left and right side require you to open both exterior doors to slide open either drawer. The ice make is working well, but the ice storage tray is a little shallow so you do not get much ice volume before if shut off because its full.

Refrigerator delivered on June 10th, 2022

Beautiful refrigerator and was really excited about it until problems...First of all there were delivery issues and finally got delivery on the third try after wasting two days waiting for product to be delivered and installed. After 5 days of having the refrigerator in our house which was working beautifully to begin with we notice the freezer was not working and now we're waiting for a repair person to come out and hopefully they will arrive as scheduled this Monday June 20th, 2022... unfortunately, with all the previous mishaps we've had we had with scheduled delivery appointments that were not kept, we do not have a lot of faith that a GE Repair person will show up as scheduled. We did get credited for installation and delivery because of the mishaps with our scheduled deliveries, but it's really not enough considering all the stress that's been involved here and now having to pull all the stuff out of our freezer and find a location to keep it from spoiling. We have so many GE Appliances and this is really very disheartening and disappointing and making us think twice about our Appliance choices. We'll see if it gets fixed as scheduled, if not we have three days to pull the product and other GE products from our home that we recently purchased.

Spacious fridge

We've had this fridge well over a year when we renovated our kitchen and bought matching appliances (we have a GE dishwasher and gas range too). So far, so good. No major issues whatsoever. We like the features such as temp control for both fridge/freezer, accurate temps once set, water filter reminder (for ice dispenser), and how quiet this fridge is. We weren't looking for a water dispenser fridge since we have an RO system next to the kitchen faucet and only needed an ice dispenser (we have a whole house filtration system and water softener so water going in is filtered and softened minus the RO filtration). I'd definitely recommend.

I will never buy GE appliances again

Great refrigerator until it broke, less than 2 months old. The repair guy said this happens a lot because of the new butane cooling system. It took 2 more months to get it fixed, because GE sent the wrong parts, then sent only some of the parts needed, and then finally just replaced the fridge with a cheaper model. You'd think that every appliance would have its own repair kit so it would be quick and easy. After this nightmare, living out of a tiny mini fridge (GE only gave us $125 for a temporary fix) for 2 months, I will never buy a GE appliance of any kind ever again.

Does what it is supposed to do. It is fine. My mistake…thought it had an interior water dispenser…it does not. Lights up nicely. Big door storage, but it takes away from shelf depth. Could use another adjustable shel for doors. Both doors have to be wide open to use bottom drawer. It takes a bit of a push to close the French doors, compared to a gentle swing and self seal of a one door fridge. Am I disappointed? No. Would I purchase again? No. Delivered from GE. Nice folks delivered. One door ding we noticed after they were gone. None of the issues were worth the hassle of a return.

Waited 7 months, arrived slightly marred.

This fridge took an eternity to arrive after ordering it at Lowe's- from the beginning of August 2021 until the end of February 2022- a week shy of seven months. It's now two months later and my wife and I are still joking about the delivery time. When it did finally arrive, it all looked good on the outside, but when we got it inside and went to set it up, the main plastic shell/tub inside, where it flanges out to the face, was all scraped up. Looked like it had maybe been slid across a concrete floor face down. The ice tray looked very similarly treated. Lowe's ended up giving us a small refund so that we would keep it, and we couldn't risk having to wait another 7 months with our old fridge the way it was sounding. Overall we're happy with it. Food is lasting longer now that it's cold enough, and it's more efficient and spacious than the old one. I just wish it had been treated a little better in assembly. I would recommend a GE fridge, maybe just not this one since it took SO stinking long. If you like a model that's in stock in a store, you'd be better off.

What we like about this refrigerator is the fact that it fits into the same space as our old one but has 3 extra cubic feet of storage. Having the ice maker in the freezer instead of in the door gives us more useable refrigerator space and fewer potential mechanical issues since there is no ice dispenser. The unit is quiet and the interior lighting is great.

We had the first brand new refrigerator installed in November of 2021, the compressor went out in early February 2022, GE finally replaced the refrigerator with another new about four weeks later, that refrigerator was in place one week and it quit working, it had a leak in the cooling system, it was repaired, the dealer we purchased the first refrigerator from, provided us a refrigerator to use until the second refrigerator arrived. In all my years of owning a refrigerator, I have never had two brand new refrigerators that where defective. Not impressed

It's the quietest refrigerator ever. Controls are handy and easy to read and to use, especially the icemaker which is just push an on/off button on the door instead of having to reach down into the ice cube bin like in other refrigerators. Finally!

We had what was (WAS) the best and biggest…now we realize, not so much. Thank you GE! The capacity is a plus, but even better is the smart design of the interior. I'm still surprised to find open space on the shelves after a trip to the grocery. And - ice. Plenty of it….I no longer have to 'supplement' with bags of store bought ice to get through the week. One detractor? The shrink wrap….I'll be pulling little bits of plastic from between the seams for a while. Ok, not even a detractor…minor nuisance :)
