Hard to get help

This was delivered 5 days ago and The GE dryer has a clink and a clunk after installation. I have a video and there are sheets only in the dryer. Pretty sure sheets don't make that kind of noise. Lowe's refused to replace it as I came back at day 4 and they have a lousy 48 return policy. I like GE but don't buy it at Lowe's. I must now find a GE number to call for the warranty. That is not easy to find either. Ps- love GE and Lowe's NOT so much!

Had only a few days and it wouldn't let me set times and if I managed to get it to let me, it would change the time then! Got the person I bought it from to come out and he tried for over 45 minutes to get it to do stuff and it wouldn't. By the time he was done, I soulcn't even set temp or level. He is going to replace it as soon as he gets a delivery from GE but it been a while since he's gotten a delivery. He has none in stock to replace it with and my clothes will not dry proper. It's starting to ruin some of our stuff. Thinking of getting my mpney back from Elliotts in Roaring Spring PA and go somewhere else and get a better, different brand then GE Will not recommend this dryer to anyone. It was 2 weeks ago that he was here.

Dryer takes forever to dry towels and or blankets. Old dryer only took about 45 minutes, this one takes about 80 minutes. The default for towels is 36 minutes and I have to do it about 3 cycles to get my towels dry.

I like the dryer. It sure what it's supposed to do. It's a lot of buttons, but I can change the timing. It's really big on the inside. On things is that the lint filter collects lint on the bottom of the filter hole. I can't get to it. Drives me insane.

The dryer is very loud and is defective. It dries the clothes but you can hear a background noise that the technician says should not be there. Therefore the appliance needs to be replaced.

Only been a few weeks since we bought this dryer but so far so good. Love the lint trap, so much easier to clean then our last one. This model doesn't come with a buzzer to let us know when the load is done so we've had to get used to that, not a real problem.

I had such a bad experience with installation. Unfortunately, GE only provides a hard, ridged dryer vent. As my dryer sits inches from the wall, the installer did not trim the vent, but instead coiled it behind the dryer in a manner that posed a fire hazard. After complaining and having the coil replaced with a more pliable one, the installer told me that they had been complaining about your vent, but GE would not allow an alternate. The fire hazard potential is unfathomable, and I pity all of the Senior Citizens who do you not have the knowledge or capacity to look behind the dryer after installation. I confirmed my fears with two local fire departments.

Good capacity for what I need it for. Lint trap a little on the small side. About half the size of what I had before, but works well. Nice that the light inside stays on longer than my last dryer so I can see the clothes while folding. Dries just fine.

Had this dryer for 8 orn9 months The buzzer/ bell barely makes any noise on high. You cannot hear it from other areas in the house. Such as upstairs when laundry room is downstairs. The wrinkle prevent only continues for possibly 10 minutes tops. And given that I cann hear when its done the clothes are inevitably wrinkled when I get there. The clothes come out wrinkled often regardless. I had none of these issues with the Samsung we used to have Also it doesnt dry the clothes well and takes multiple cycles. Specifically delicate and medium cycles. High randomly doesnt work well either I do not recommend this dryer to anyone. Its also not smart so there's no way to know via my phone except to set a reminder myself. I did know it wasnt smart, but didnt think Id need it. Since there's no way to hear the sound of the buzzer when your shopping there was no way to know aboy this. Overall not good and wish to replace it. GE- can you help me?

Think twice before buying

My dryer has not dried one load of laundry on sensor dry since the first day it was delivered 1/08/2026. I have not had success with GE Boswell to get an explanation or replacement. I had a GE certified technician here. He said that there were no electrical issues. The problem remains....it does not dry clothes on sensor dry settings.. I need to use time dry to finish the drying. This has required both extra time and use of more electricity. GE has not resolved my issue.

I™€™m extremely disappointed with this product from GE not just from the dryer failing, but because it happened 13 months from when I bought it and the warranty is only good for 12 months. I am not impressed. I don™€™t think it is drying the clothes as well as previous dryers. I have to put it on for longer time and use the time setting because all of the other settings don™€™t get the clothes fully dry. Also the lint tray is not easy to slide out.

This dryer like the washer has lots of choices and options for drying any type of load you have washed. I really like the "sensing" feature it uses to detect how dry the clothes are so it will not over heat them and harm the material. It also has "wrinkle control" for those really picky clothes that just want to wrinkle no matter what. It dries fast and complete. It's not really noisy like someone had said. I find it to be normal sounding.
