Refrigerator is very noisy, with all the insulation that is needed these days to make models energy efficient, you would think that is would help reduce the noise. This refrigerator only has ONE SMALL light bulb, (located on the right side of the bulb housing fixture). Why didn't they put in another one on the left side ? One bulb is NOT enough. This height refrigerator could have been made a little wider, and possibly another 2 inches longer in depth.

This product was plugged in for 2 days and blew hot air the entire time. Never cooling down. I have been dealing with GE for over 2 weeks trying to get the issue addressed. It is quite frustrating to have a brand new refrigerator in your home that doesn't work during the holidays.

Nice fridge, but some issues.

Seems to work well. Very solid. Like the meat drawer and the option to move it to both sides. On the down side, it is very noisy. Also, the only way to level it is with feet on the front. So, that means it is off the wheels. Also, if your floor is unlevel on the back side, there aren't any good options.

I bought this to replace my old refrigerator that was damaged in the hurricane. It is the exact same size and model as the old one. I think my older model had better quality shelves and options for the fruits and vegetable storage spaces. The new replacement is a decent product but they really don't make 'em like they used to.

I bought this fridge to replace my old Amana fridge that I had for 24 years. It was the only one that retrofit into the space. I was hoping to upgrade but I seem to have downgraded. It doesn™€™t have a light in the freezer, and there is no separate temperature setting for the freezer. What a bummer. It™€™s been running for 8 hours and my bread rolls that I had frozen are soft. I hope I didn™€™t buy a lemon.

Decent basic fridge with some downsides

I've had this refrigerator for 7 months. It was worth the extra cost to get the version of this basic model that comes with glass rather than wire shelves. It runs warmer than I would like; at the recommended setting (level 3), the food compartment is always close to 40 degrees, which is just barely within the safe zone per the FDA. This fridge has almost exactly the same exterior dimensions as the one I replaced, but it has FAR less interior space, in both the main compartment and the freezer, and the limited options for shelf placement make it very difficult to use the available space efficiently. Finally, as noted in other reviews, the fridge is VERY loud. It took a long time to get used to the noisy fans, which run most of the time. When the compressor runs, it can be heard throughout my 2 BR apartment.

We had to get a slightly smaller than average size due to measurements in the kitchen, but the inside of the freezer and the refrigerator are still a little more spacious than our old one! I can tell the quality just by looking at the shelves and the tempered glass. Runs softly, like a charm, too.

This refrigerator is the upgrade for my apartment. I thought I was getting another dud. I was pleasantly surprised that the freezer is really, "no frost". Refrigerated items stay very cold at the lower setting! It's also very quiet. Unfortunately, I would not recommend as I prefer bottom freezer styles.

The refrigerator/top freezer has ample space for our food storage. The brightness of the light in the fridge makes it easy to locate items. We felt we could downsize since it is just the two of us in the home now and we found that we had plenty of room between the door storage, three tiers, and the three storage cabinets for meat, fruit, and vegetables.

Shoddy Quality Control?

The new refrigerator arrived on the scheduled date and at the beginning of the promised time window. Installation went smoothly and the delivery team removed the old refrigerator smoothly and professionally. The new appliance functioned properly except for one significant defect. One (1) day after installation on 28NOV2022, I noticed water accumulating on the top shelf and beginning to freeze there. Also, liquid water was accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator beneath the storage bins. I removed the water before it could overflow and spill onto the kitchen floor. Next, I notified GE for warranty service, who told me to contact Best Buy for this service. The refrigerator continues to accumulate water inside requiring daily cleanup. This indicates the liquid drainage system is either blocked, frozen, or missing. Normally, refrigerators drain condensate into a tube to the base of the machine where a fan evaporates it. A new refrigerator failing in this way on its first day of operation indicates a serious quality control problem. GE appliances used to have a reputation for reliability. Apparently, this desirable brand characteristic is no longer true! Perhaps, it is because Haier bought GE appliances in 2016 and did some cost-cutting that adversely impacted quality. My previous refrigerator was a GE and didn't develop internal water leakage until it was over 30 years old and could no longer be repaired economically. Before you purchase any appliance, especially a refrigerator, carefully investigate its repair record online. Only do business with a retailer who directly services (has its own service department) what they sell and don't hand off service to a third-party company.

Works as advertised. Plastic juice bottles require adjusting the shelf spacing leaving enough clearance for the bottles but not enough clearance on other shelves for other items. Such is life.
