Just received fridge and so far it™€™s OK. Track that holds the freezer bottom bin is a a little misaligned and the track wheel is not centered will look to see if I can adjust. Disappointing that it does not come with a dairy bin. Will have to find another solution to store butter unusual since this is standard in most fridges.

Purchased May 2023 .First repair November 2023 for ice build up in bottom of refrigerator. July 2026 sealed sytem failure. (Refrigerant leak) ice maker stopped working and freezer stopped working. No sealed sytem warranty. For a unit to only last 3 years this is not right.

Runs louder than expected

I really like this refrigerator. The only minor issue is that it runs loud. I noticed if I press on the left door the noise goes away. However once I release my hand it starts again. So that™€™s the only thing I wish I could change.

Extremely Disappointed-Poor Appliance Choice

I expected a lot more from GE appliances but, this refrigerator has been nothing but a headache. Its not even 2 years old and the refrigerator section has already started freezing everything- produce, drinks, leftovers, you name it. HOW MISLEADING...AND I AM SURE MADE PARTIAL DUE TO ONLY SELECT REVIEWS ARE PUBLISHED. I purchased this refrigerator as a brand new addition to a complete remodel of my kitchen. I wanted all the same appliances to look uniform and modern. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! Since my purchase of 4 appliances all from GE and following all troubleshooting steps and adjusting all tempature settings as told to, this refrigerator turns into a freezer and its less than 2 years old and now my Dishwasher is having trouble too and giving water errors that will not make it run! For the price I paid on these appliances I expected reliability, not a constant battle...GE really needs to address the quality of their newer appliances because this is UNACCEPTABLE. I WON'T BE BUYING ANOTHER GE APPLIANCE AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE...I WAS ALSO TOLD TO CALL THEIR REPAIR CONTRACTORS AND JUST FOR A VISIT THEY WANTED $180 UP FRONT TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND THEN TOLD THAT IT PROBALLY COULD NOT BE REPAIRED...please don't purchase these appliances, GE DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT AT ALL. Lives larger than expected for a Counter depth

Stores a lot of food for a counter-depth refrigerator. It's easy to find things because the lighting is great. Ice maker makes new ice very fast. Replaced my much larger LG and have been very pleased. Some say it is loud, and it does make noise when the ice drops but otherwise, very happy with the purchase.

Freezer didn't work from day 1.

At first the ice makers were not producing ice. It took 3 visits by technicians to find out that the freezer was not getting cold at all. Two coils had to be replaced because they were leaking, which meant I had to remove all the food in the refrigerator section and it took 2 1/2 hours to replace. This was a brand new refrigerator! Also, the cold drawer is poorly designed. It doesn't slide out easily and is wobbly.

We are very happy with the refrigerator's finish: it is genuine steel (as opposed to the facsimiles evidenced in other brands). The appliance seems to be solidly built as well. Additionally, it is quiet and well-lit -- both inside and at the water station. Although we just bought this appliance last month, it's been more than satisfactory thus far.

Refrigerator works fine. However, taking HP's lead on ink, GE decided to include RFID chips as part of the water filter system to prevent the use of aftermarket filters. As bad as that is, it turns out that GE OEM filters have quite an issue with bad RFID tags. I had two GE filters fail (purchased 6 months apart). Putting back in the old filter also doesn't work, so a fully functional water dispensing system won't work. I set up a service call with a $150 minimum and also read more about the issue online. Someone on Reddit suggested trying even more filters. Hard to believe that two had already failed, but I figured worth a try and it worked. Had I not gone on Reddit, I would have waster $150 on the service call.

Mine is only 4 years old this year and has been causing me grief for the last 2. Shelves are cheaply made. Finish is mid. Touch controls are not cooperative. The water lever actuator broke on me and now after a lot of troubleshooting my compressor has failed and I just lost a whole fridge and freezer worth of food while I wait to get a tech out here in a week and a half.

30 year GE Patron frustrated

The refrigerator compressor broke after 2 years from data purchase. Of course the one year warranty is worthless.. but to purchase a fridge in the year 2024 and it break in the year 2026 and have to come out of pocket a lot of money after spending a lot of money to purchase this fridge. It™€™s clear quality assurance missed before launching this product to market. The mechanics have even stated that the compressor will likely have to be replaced two more times after this one in the next couple of years because of the lack of compatibility and faulty product. So frustrating. Apology in the form of Reimbursement would be appreciated™€¦ to continue remaining a GE Patron

Price tag should say $X +$100+ a year for life Refrigerator works fine. Keep your credit card warmed up because you must replace the RFID chipped water filter every 6 months with a GE filter ($50 every time) or the replace filter alert comes on and you can't turn it off. Don't need water filtered because you have great tap water- too bad - get a new filter anyway. GE- Very pathetic- this is the last GE appliance I will buy

This product is appears to be very cheaply produced. The freezer drawer wobbles back and forth when opening. We had someone come out and look at it, as we thought it was a defect. They said no, just the way it is made. The plastic pieces (of which there are many) on the interior are flimsy and not well made. It is just a matter of time before something breaks.

Nice Fridge, But...

It's a nice fridge. Seems to cool well. Compressor a little louder than my last GE fridge. Negative Differences b/t my last, very nice, GE fridge and this one. Both are french door, with freezer at the bottom. New fridge: freezer top drawer slides out when opening door; have to push back in if you want something from bottom. Also, when you pull it out, it does not have a solid feeling. Internal drawers also light weight and don't fit tight; sway when pulling out. Right door only has 3 storage bins. My last had 4. Everything feels cheaply made. My previous GE lasted 12 years. I don't think this one will make it 5 years without parts breaking and needing replacement.

I purchased this refrigerator in February 2022. The date on the back of the fridge says it was made in January 2022 my refrigerator developed a coolant leak and reeks of a chemical smell and needs over $1000 repair from what I see on Google that smell can stay in all the plastic and insulation of the refrigerator so I had to buy a new refrigerator. GE offered me $100 towards my $600 loss of food because I™€™m stocked up for company for Christmas and they waved the 200 dollar diagnosis fee and sent me a complementary $150. They should™€™ve sent me a brand new refrigerator if you are company that stands behind your product this is ridiculous for this expensive of a refrigerator to fail in less than four years. General Electric needs to do better and not produce junk. GYE22GYNFS

The Refrigerator works very well. Stays cold, freezer also keeps items frozen until needed. Not happy with the way the drawers in the fridge don't seem to move with ease, have to jiggle the drawers to open and close. Same thing with the freezer, the pull out freezer is fine, but sliding the drawer back into place sounds like a squeaky wheel.

It really doesnt have much room inside. It's fine for my husband and me, but when the kids are home it is packed. The main issue for a one star rating is that the LED light board malfunctioned two years after buying the fridge. It is now dark inside. Fortunately things are cold, but the lights dont work. OF course the warranty is only one year. I would not buy this again.

Haven't had the refrigerator very long but it seems to be very efficient. It does seem a bit noisy though.

We bought this refrigerator which broke within the first two months and needed to be replaced. The new refrigerator works, but is noisier than the old refrigerator that we had previously. I like the water/ice dispenser.

Our refrigerator is in our new jayco Seneca and definitely is a feature that we™€™ve been enjoying. We like the capacity as compared to other RVs and the quality of food storage. We also really enjoy the icemaker.

We replaced our GE Profile. We love the look and size. The shelves are wide and easy to access. The freeze compartment works well with ease of storage and easy access. We are very pleased with our unit.

The ice bin door freezes shut. It must be pried open with force. Trying to use the handle on the ice bin door would cause it to break off. I cleaned and dried the meeting surfaces of the ice bin door and the refrigerator, closed the frig door and waited one hour. Upon checking, I found the ice bin door again frozen shut. A GE assigned repairman provided no solution.

Weird door shelves

The French door on the left has tiny shelves that things about as thick as a stick of butter can fit in. Pretty worthless. I do like that the ice maker is in that same door though rather than taking up frig space like my old frig. I feel like I can get a lot in the fridge and the lights make it easy to see everything.

This appliance is not even 5 months old, and I heard a large POP sound from the fridge. Went to check it and found that it had stopped cooling!! You can't talk to anyone on the phone, as all service calls are automatically scheduled through a website. The next appointment was OVER A WEEK AWAY!!!!!! I have NO REFRIGERATOR!!!!! I owned this fridge before and loved it. It's been downgraded and is cheap now. The ice maker is abysmal. The new ice gets stuck in the top area and doesn't fall down into the basket which stops it from making any more ice. The shelves are no longer moveable to create a half shelf for taller items etc. I totally regret buying this fridge. I thought since the item was still available, it would be roughly the same as my previous one. Sadly it is not. I do not recommend this fridge.

Recently downsized and had to buy a smaller fridge than what we™€™re used to. The reviews on this GE French Door refrigerator were good and it was the right size. Produce is keeping fresh, everything works great. It is small inside, but it fits the space.
