AVOID this oven leaks CARBON MONOXIDE

a few months after getting this oven my family started experiencing symptoms of moderate carbon monoxide poisoning whenever the oven was on, which went away when it was turned off, (dizzy, tired, nauseous, headache etc) i called gas company and sure enough the oven was leaking moderate levels of CARBON MONOXIDE less than a year after purchase
zero stars
very very disappointed, the least i could expect from a brand new oven is that it wont release dangerous fumes, the levels were below the threshhold for the carbon monoxide detector to detect, but high enough to be dangerous, thats why it went on for months, slowly getting worse until it got bad enough that it was obviously the oven causing the symptoms.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
Very disappointed in GE - the lease I could expect is an appliance that has been vetted to be safe, and tested to ensure that it will not present a serious safely hazard, especially not a potentially life threatening one, and especially not when its brand new!

This gas range is EXACTLY what we were looking for. The delivery and installation were very smoothly accomplished. The range looks perfect, and functions well. It preheats much more quickly than our previous range and does not throw off as much heat into the room.

I've had my stove for a couple weeks and so far I love it. The only thing I'd change would be to put the broiler back in the stove and use the drawer for storing my cookie sheets and tins.
I chose this model because the grates were normal size and lightweight making it easier to clean the top of the stove

This stove loves leaking gas. Had a technician replace the gas regulator, which was covered under warranty, but it is still leaking gas. Do not buy this and the warranty process with GE is horrible. I haven™™t had a properly working stove since for 5 weeks now because of the warranty process.

Lennar Built New Home, gas leaked from oven. Red tagged, the gas company came out, something was wide open, he repaired. Now every time I use my burner I smell gas and get lightheaded. I refuse to use it anymore. I™™m now going to pay for an electrician to switch outlet for electric range and pay a plumber to cap and shut off gas.

I am disappointed that the front burner does not light on its own. I have readjusted the it several times, and I hear the "tick, tick, tick" when I turn it on, but it remains unlit. All the other burners are fine. Also, one of the oven racks was slightly bowed, and when I removed the tape, it cracked. I will be reaching out to customer service. I chose GE because of the good reviews, and also because many pointed out that it was easily serviced, unlike my previoius oven.

We bought a brand new home and the builder supply this oven, in the middle of the night we smelled gas and had the gas company come out and check for a leak and they determined it was coming from the stove. The GE technicians were helpful enough and agreed that after replacing a few parts, it was still leaking however, the GE product and safety team determined that this was an "acceptable leak". They refuse to honor our warranty and replace our stove. Do not buy from these scammers. On top of that whenever we call the gas company they are already on our street for another gas leak from the same stove.

I am very dissapointed with GE. I bought my brand new home with this GE stove. It was installed incorrectly and I had a gas leak. Ive spoken with other neighbors in my community and they all has gas leaks as well. This is very dangerous and unsafe especially with families with small children. Not only was it not installed correctly. I haven't been able to use mt oven this entire time because one of the burbers starts before the other and so it releases a bunch of gas and it makes me feel dizzy and sick. A GE tech is finally coming to look at it in a few days. This is a warning to everyone. Call your gas company and make sure GE did their job!

We are getting older, downsizing to a condo. Bought all new stainless steel GE appliances based on two things, the fingerprint resistance and the lightweight grates over the gas burners. Most cast iron burners are too large and much too heavy for a normal person to remove and clean.

I just had my new stainless steel/ black GE Gas Range installed today. Looks very nice. But why would you sell a beautiful stove without ™Drip Pans?????™ Do you know how difficult it is to clean a stove when a pot boils over or drips sticky food? My old stove , from 2003, had them and it was so easy to clean. You take them off the stove and put them in the sink. What are you thinking? If you look to buy them, they are just standard sizes. Whoever thought this was a good idea obviously never cleans their stove.

I™™m very disappointed with this product . We moved into our brand new Lennar home Oct 19, 2024. The GE appliances are new I presume. We discovered the oven light only works intermittently. I placed a service call and tech was sent out on 1/24/25 and of course the light came on so he left. My question is are we just stuck with this malfunctioning appliance? Or should this appliance be replaced ?
