The cooktop was replacing a GE cafe The dishwasher safe grates are half the weight of the my old grates; very cheap. Not as easy to clean.
It went on sale after my purchase, within 30 days); they only price adjust within 7 days of purchase. It can take more than 7 days to arrive.
Customer service was more interested in talking to others and continued to say, I get it, I get it, remind me what you were calling for...

so far, I find that it is extremely easy to clean. I love the fact that the lids of the burners come off, and can be cleaned. The heat is even, and I like the burner that boils quickly.

Within one year of purchase, I have raised multiple service requests to fix my brand™new cooktop. During cooking, one of the knobs gets stuck, and we are unable to turn it off. This creates a serious safety concern, and we were forced to shut off the main gas valve to stop the gas supply.

Right rear burner stopped working a couple days in. No spark on the ignitor. I've tried to schedule warranty service, but I keep getting sent to "Bodewell" which doesn't bode well for anyone, because you can't get past their AI Bot to actually schedule anything.
Simple problem, replace a $30 part, if I could get warranty service.
Since I can't get service, maybe a human will read this and get back to me.

I moved from an induction to this gas cooktop, so I am extremely hard to impress. The burners are easy to turn and adjust. Cooking surface is raised significantly by the way the grates sit on the cooktop (there's several inches between the top of the grate and the actual cooktop) and this leaves a lot of space to navigate to clean spills. Overall, it's a decent cooktop

The gas knobs are plastic, and being that it is to gage a heat source™¦ plastic and heat don™™t mix well. My friend has the same exact stove and her knobs melted, I™™m just praying this doesn™™t happen to mine as GE made her repurchase and would not replace for her.

The GE 36-inch 5 burners Stainless Steel Gas Cooktop has been a bit of a letdown. It shows every single fingerprint, making it seem more like "stained steel" rather than stainless steel. The finish constantly looks dirty, which is frustrating for a high-traffic kitchen appliance.
The installation process was also problematic. The screw on the right-side strap down was stripped, making it difficult to remove. I had to use pliers to get it out, which added unnecessary hassle to the process.
Overall, the product's finish and installation issues make it hard to recommend for anyone looking for a low-maintenance and easy-to-install cooktop.

We did not choose this. It was included with the house we built. If you have a choice, find something better. It seems that the grates are too high from the flames so while we have a gas stove, it takes a while for stuff to heat up. Also, that surface where the knobs are, scratches super easy™¦.

Beautiful but scratches too easily. It is sleek, modern and functional. I love the versatility and 5 burners is a plus. Also the nobs are easy to turn and my gas stovetop lights quickly and beautifully. No mess along edges as it fits perfectly over the counter. I love it. Just wish it didn™™t scratch so easily; thus, 3 star review versus 5 stars.

The surface was either scratched by the construction crew or it scratches VERY easily so that™™s really disappointing. When I clean it, I also have to like buff it with a microfiber towel to try to get smudges off™¦
Also, the grates are too high from the flames and takes a while to get water boiling. Came with Taylor Morrison home so we didn™™t have an option other than to pay thousands to upgrade whole kitchen™¦I wouldn™™t recommend.

Bought this at the Home Depot. Service and delivery were excellent. Decided to install it myself, as Lowes quoted $448.00 for the install. Took me 10 minutes to install and it not only looks great, it works perfect. Big improvement over my old cooktop.

The installation and conversion to LP was easy, and the cooktop performs much better than our old gas stove top. Cleanup is very easy. The small burner is great for melting chocolate and keeping soup warm without boiling. The large burner brings water to a boil in half the time of our old stove. Overall, I would recommend this cooktop for anyone who cooks a lot.
