Stylish Addition to Replace Outdated Bar Fridge

There were only 2 brands of ice-maker compact refrigerator that fitted into my bar area and this was the less expensive of the two, at $2,550 plus $200 for the handle. It looks great, was easy to hook up to the water supply and started making ice within a few hours and tool about 24 hours to fill the ice drawer. This replaces an old Monogram bar fridge in the same place and the stainless steel finish with the designer handle looks great.

The device is not designed in the most efficient way. The icemaker takes up to much space. If this was not a buyers bonus from GE I would not have purchased it.

I am on the 3rd refrigerator over the last 5 months. The first one was delivered in January 2024 and within one month it quit cooling. Three service trips later the tech said the unit was unrepairable and the unit was to be replaced. A new unit was ordered and it was delivered in early May 2024. This unit did not work and another unit was ordered. Getting ready for 2nd service on the 3rd unit. GE is manufacturing these units with faulty parts.

This is our second purchase of the model. The last one lasted 10 years, which is not great. But there are few options for this particular type of refrigerator. The issue we had with this purchase was that the handle was either the wrong handle or was defective as the installer could not get it to attach correctly.

It has all the features I like, except it only opens from the left which makes it awkard for some situations. I bought mine in 2007 and the ice maker pooped out on me in 2020. So I bought another one to replace it after spendin $500 with a repair man who couldn't repair it.

I purchased a 36 inch gas range which I love. The refrigerator was the Appliance I picked from the promotional monogram add-on. I did that purchase of April 2022. The range arrived late July and was installed. The refrigerator was supposed to be delivered in August delivery date. The next arrival date was in September. That got pushed out to November 15. That day has come and gone and now the delivery date says December 2. My question is has anybody experienced delays on ordering this refrigerator. I™™ve asked the establishment at where I purchased it in Northern California if they could have a district rep contact me. That has not happened. If anybody from monogram reads this review I would appreciate a call from the district rep for GEonogram . I can provide that information if needed. Thank you Edward

We purchased this to have another ice maker in our house, which is great. It does take a lot away from the drink storage space, but we understood that when we bought it. The one thing we don't love is that it runs a bit loud. All of our other appliances are new and quiet, but this one does have a louder hum. It isn't incredibly loud, but louder than we would have expected. Not sure I would have purchased this if I knew this fact.

The good news, it looks nice. The bad news, it's not functional. The control handle thing i the icemaker that is supposed to stop production once it reaches a certain level, does not work. We called the company and they came and replaced it but the same problem persists. So every time to go for ice cubes, they come spilling out all over the floor and the inside of the unit. Secondly, the shelves can't be adjusted for height and as designed there is not enough height even for short bottles. So you have to remove shelves and that cuts down on the already limited capacity (given how much space the icemaker takes up). Finally, the wine racks on the bottom are, fantastically, too short for any wine bottle. This is only good for cans and for people with superhuman ice cube consumption.

I bought this one to replace a 15 year old of the same kind. I found that it is a bit taller than the old one. However, it has the same functions. I had to buy separate handles.

Knocking sound keeps people up at night

This fridge came with the new home we bought and moved into 2 months ago (age of the appliance is less than 1 yr, in use less than a couple months). All the appliances in the spec home are Monogram. This one makes knocking sound every 20+ seconds and is really loud at night when there is no ambient noise. It almost seems someone is knocking at the door. GE Service came 2 times and replaced a dampener the first time, and the system board the next time. The knocking still persists, and the repairman said nothing else service department can do, take it up with GE Consumer Relations to get it replaced. Been on hold off an on through the day and getting nowhere with consumer relations in getting the problem addressed! Super frustrating to say the least.

This has replaced two separately installed Uline ref/ice maker models both which refused to make ice a week after installation. The Uline's are junk. This unit seems to be doing its job over and over again.
